Dear Member Throughout this web site you will find details for this years National Conference to be held at Auchengillan International Outdoor Centre in Scotland. You will see from the programme that this year once again we have a packed day full of something for everyone. Following on from last year, the team at Auchengillan have also provided an all inclusive price for the conference. This has been done to keep costs to a minimum so we are able to make full use of the facilities and to make the conference cost effective for everyone. The cost also includes transport to and from the Airport if required but please arrange this direct with Auchengillan. We would like at least one member (more are welcome of course) from your centre to attend the National Conference so you get the full benefit of being members of the ASGC and remember it is not just the centre who is a member but the conference is also open to everyone involved at your centre. The National Conference is an important part of activity centre life where you get the only chance to talk to others in similar situations. If you are unable to attend then please find someone who can, maybe even someone from your county team or management committee, as this is the only kind of national event for campsites and activity centres in the UK and it’s important to be part of it. As a drive to other centres becoming members in I would like you to bring along a centre who is not a member or someone who has never attended so they can find out what we are all about! Non members will only start paying from January 2009 so drag them along. Please return the forms by the 17/11/08 so we can arrange the final details for everyone. If you wish to turn up earlier for a short break then please arrange this direct with Auchengillan. And finally, I will be looking for new committee members at this year’s conference to reflect the changes in our constitution. There are a variety of roles available and you only have to serve for one year!
